YunTech “Passionate Youth” Step Forward! April 15 Blood Donation Drive—Campus and Industry Unite to Save Lives

To help alleviate seasonal pressure on the regional blood supply and to promote the spirit of life-saving donation, the Taichung Blood Center and the Tzu Chi Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, will jointly host a campus public welfare event on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the YunTech Student Activity Center.

This event integrates traditional blood donation with on-site hematopoietic stem cell registration and testing. All faculty and students are warmly invited to take part and demonstrate their commitment to caring for others through concrete action, contributing to the protection and continuation of life.

Expanded “Act of Kindness” Zone: A Second Chance at Life

In addition to standard blood donation services, a dedicated “Act of Kindness” area will be set up on site to promote hematopoietic stem cell donor registration. This initiative offers renewed hope for patients with blood-related diseases and extends the impact of each act of generosity into long-term life-saving possibilities.

Corporate Support & Community Collaboration: Sustaining a Cycle of Care

To express gratitude for participants’ contributions, multiple enterprises and local partners have joined to create a comprehensive “Care Support Station”:

Local Refreshment Support: The popular Right Side Batter Egg Pancake will provide freshly made signature snacks on-site, helping donors replenish their energy.
Quality Corporate Gifts: Fortune Oriental Industrial Co., Ltd. and Dadong Resin Co., Ltd. actively fulfill their corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments by donating a variety of practical and high-quality gifts.
Cross-sector Participation: Taiwan Sakura Corporation, Anguilla-based Yong Qiao Co., Ltd., and Ivy Collegiate Academy are also joining the initiative, contributing diverse supplies and expressing sincere appreciation to all “Ambassadors of Kindness.”

This campus-wide initiative, brought together by university, industry, and community partners, not only strengthens the regional blood supply but also highlights YunTech’s commitment to building a sustainable cycle of compassion. Faculty and students are encouraged to roll up their sleeves, share their vitality, and help light up hope—keeping the flow of kindness alive.
