General Education and Core Curriculum Committee

Purpose
In accordance with Article 12 of the University’s Organizational Regulations, the General Education and Core Curriculum Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”) is hereby established. The Committee serves as the decision-making body for reviewing and planning the development of general education and core curriculum across the University. The Vice President serves as the convener, while the Academic Affairs Dean, Student Affairs Dean, deans of each college, and the Director of the General and Science Education Center serve as ex officio members. In addition, the University President appoints 3 to 5 scholars or experts from within or outside the University as members, each serving a one-year term, which may be renewed.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Formulate directions and policies for the development of general education and core curriculum courses.
2.Review major plans related to general education and core curriculum courses.
3.Review and revise the curriculum planning of general education and core curriculum courses.
4.Evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of general education and core curriculum courses.
