Following the enthusiastic response to their 2025 performance, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology’s Yuntai Performance Hall will once again host the beloved comedy troupe Omoroshi Daijōbu on April 11, 2026, presenting a special manzai show titled “Omoroshi Grand Slam”. With a rich variety of comedic forms, the performance promises to deliver a creative and laughter-filled performing arts experience for audiences in the Yunlin region.

“Omoroshi Grand Slam” is designed as a “variety platter” show, featuring multiple manzai duos performing in rotation. Through witty and finely crafted dialogue, fast-paced rhythms, and highly engaging stage presence, the performers transform everyday topics—such as workplace culture, sports, and current events—into humorous sketches that resonate strongly with audiences. The performance not only delivers a dense sequence of laughs but also highlights manzai’s keen observation of social phenomena and its ability to translate them into comedy.

This will be the first time “Omoroshi Grand Slam” brings together multiple outstanding manzai teams from across Taiwan to perform in Yunlin. Led by Omoroshi Daijōbu, the show will feature three popular comedy groups with distinct styles—Manzai Shōya, Entertainment Era, and Fukuri Boys. The performance will include selected manzai routines and short sketches, blending music, visual storytelling, and other multimedia elements to create a smooth, layered, and dynamic stage experience. Audiences can expect a fresh and unique theatrical experience that showcases the diversity of contemporary comedic performance.

Through the interplay of multiple performers, “Omoroshi Grand Slam” not only provides pure laughter but also demonstrates the maturity and innovation of Taiwanese comedy in terms of subject matter, form, and stage energy.
