“The 23rd National Innovation Award”
- The “National Innovation Award” is regarded as one of the most prestigious honors in Taiwan’s biomedical, health, and cross-disciplinary innovation sectors. Among its categories, the “Academic and Research Innovation Award” serves as a key platform for research teams to demonstrate breakthrough innovations. This year, applications are open across seven major innovation fields:
(1) Smart Healthcare and Health Technology
(2) Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, and Precision Medicine
(3) Innovative Medical Devices and Diagnostic Technologies
(4) Agricultural and Food Biotechnology
(5) Advanced Materials and Applied Biotechnology
(6) Environmental Technology and Energy Applications
(7) Innovative Pandemic Prevention Technologies - The “National Innovation Award” is evaluated and recommended by a panel of 90 distinguished experts, including leading medical professionals, scientific research leaders, government officials, and specialists in industrial technology and investment evaluation. The award provides guidance on product development and market pathways. Award-winning teams have consistently become key targets for R&D collaboration, licensing, and investment opportunities. The annual Demo Day, recognized as the largest of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, serves as a premier platform for startups to gain international visibility. By bringing together substantial R&D capabilities from both medical and academic institutions, the award offers participating teams strategic guidance on technology commercialization. It also organizes the international “Inno Zone” roadshow exhibitions and facilitates connections to critical resources, including venture capital, clinical development, legal and intellectual property services, financial and tax advisory, and global market access—thereby accelerating innovation and entrepreneurship.
