Eclat Textile Co., Ltd., a long-established leader in the textile and apparel supply chain, has faced global supply chain restructuring, rapid advancements in AI technologies, and the accelerating ESG transformation agenda. Executive Director Huang Kuan-Hua emphasized that the textile industry is not a sunset industry, but rather a critical value chain with significant scale and complexity across upstream and downstream sectors.
He noted that due to the high variability in fabric production processes, AI adoption cannot rely solely on standalone technological deployment. Instead, it must be grounded in frontline operational experience, organizational workflows, and decision-making mechanisms. A bottom-up approach is essential to build sustainable and scalable transformation capabilities.
The lecture centered on the concept of “ACE,” representing three key competencies for future corporate competitiveness: AI-driven smart applications, Coaching-based organizational empowerment, and ESG-based sustainability governance. In recent years, Eclat Textile has actively implemented AI tools, fostered a culture of organizational learning, and integrated sustainability principles into its operations and supply chain management, demonstrating the resilience of traditional industries in transitioning toward intelligent, sustainable, and high-value development.
The university stated that the Yunqi Digital AI Sustainable Transformation Industry–Academia Alliance aims to connect academic research capabilities, industrial needs, and regional innovation ecosystems. Through master lectures, corporate exchanges, and collaborative projects, the alliance supports enterprises in addressing critical topics such as AI applications, data governance, sustainability transformation, and talent development.
Looking ahead, the alliance will continue to strengthen collaboration with industries across central Taiwan and the Yunlin–Chiayi–Changhua region, promoting a “1+N” model that leverages leading enterprises to uplift smaller partners and enhance supply chain cluster development.
National Yunlin University of Science and Technology expressed its hope that the inaugural ACE Master Lecture series will serve not only as a platform for sharing corporate experiences but also as a space for cross-disciplinary learning and innovation dialogue among regional business leaders. Through industry–academia collaboration and real-world case studies, the initiative aims to further drive digital and sustainable transformation across central Taiwan in response to the challenges of AI development and ESG governance.
