Faculty Recruitment Announcement (Full-Time Positions)
Department of Architecture and Interior Design, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology
I. Positions Available
Two (2) full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
II. Appointment Date
Employment is expected to commence on August 1, 2026 (First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027).
III. Fields of Specialization and Qualifications

Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or possess a teaching certificate at the rank of Assistant Professor or above issued by the Ministry of Education. -
Academic Expertise:
Specialization in Architecture and Interior Design. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching interior design courses for at least two semesters. -
Professional Profile:
Candidates should demonstrate outstanding research achievements or substantial professional practice experience, along with a strong commitment to teaching. Experience in industry–academia collaboration projects or projects funded by the National Science and Technology Council or the Ministry of Education, as well as strong design-related professional skills, is highly desirable. -
International Background:
Applicants with overseas academic degrees or relevant international work experience are preferred.
IV. Additional Requirements

Applicants must have at least one year of industry experience relevant to their teaching field. (Supporting documentation is required. This requirement does not apply to tenured faculty who were employed prior to the implementation of the Technical and Vocational Education Act.)

Candidates must be able to teach undergraduate design studios and required professional courses. Please submit syllabi for at least two courses that the applicant is qualified to teach.

Applicants should demonstrate academic research or industry engagement capacity in one of the following areas:

Architectural history and heritage conservation
-
Digital space and design computation
-
Interior design and well-being environments
-
Urban–rural studies and sustainable environments
Candidates should also be capable of planning and executing international exchanges, academic conferences, and industry-linked practical teaching activities in their area of expertise.

Full English-medium instruction capability is required.
V. Required Application Materials (please arrange in the order listed)

Copies of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree certificates; academic transcripts; teaching certificates; documents verifying academic and professional experience; and identification documents.

Foreign degrees must be verified by Taiwan’s overseas missions, and entry/exit records must be obtained from the National Immigration Agency.

Proof of industry experience must comply with the University’s regulations on faculty industry practice experience.

List of published journal articles or patents, with 2–3 representative works attached.

Copies of professional certifications (if any).

List and brief descriptions of courses the applicant is qualified to teach (required and elective).

Research plan and future research directions.

At least two letters of recommendation.

Research field and teaching subject survey form, and any additional materials that support the applicant’s qualifications (e.g., participation in research or industry–academia collaboration projects).

A 3-minute video recording of an English-taught lecture (subject unrestricted), provided via cloud link or USB drive.
