2026 Taoyuan Social Enterprise Startup Competition & 11th Yunus Prize
The Taoyuan City Government, through its Youth Affairs Bureau and Social Enterprise Center, is organizing the “2026 Taoyuan Social Enterprise Startup Competition and the 11th Yunus Prize.” The initiative aims to encourage youth teams to engage in social innovation, sustainable development, and local implementation, while identifying young talent and advancing the development and impact of social enterprises in alignment with global trends.
Program Highlights

The competition focuses on the theme “From Proposal to Implementation, Connecting Taoyuan Issues.” It integrates prize incentives, training programs, professional mentoring, and resource matching to support teams in transforming innovative ideas into viable social enterprise solutions.

A total prize pool of NTD 570,000 is available. Participants will also receive access to expert mentorship, corporate matchmaking opportunities, and international certification guidance, enabling teams to expand market reach, strengthen business models, and enhance social impact.

Outstanding teams in the Social Enterprise category will have the opportunity to participate in guidance for the “People & Planet First Certification,” helping them align with international social enterprise standards and enhance brand visibility and sustainability performance.
Competition Information
Application Period
From now until June 22, 2026 (Monday), 12:00 noon.
Eligibility

Applicants must be at least 15 years old.

At least half of the team members must be under 45 years old.

Previously awarded proposals are not eligible for re-entry.
Competition Categories
1. Social Enterprise Track
Teams are invited to propose innovative business models that address local social issues in Taoyuan and demonstrate long-term sustainability potential.
2. Social Impact Track
Organizations are encouraged to evaluate and present their social impact through structured impact reports. Projects that have been implemented and generated measurable social impact are eligible.
