The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) is now accepting applications for the 2026 “Advanced Crystal Materials Development and Fabrication Project.” Relevant information is as follows:

This project is administered in accordance with the NSTC Regulations for Subsidizing Research Projects.
Principal investigators must thoroughly read the full announcement before applying.
2. Project Categories (Four Types):
(1) Materials Service Projects
Aimed at establishing or maintaining key core facilities, technologies, and service laboratories required for the growth of advanced crystals, quantum materials, single crystals, and epitaxial layers, with the goal of developing materials with critical functionalities or essential crystal-growth technologies.
(2) Academic Research Projects
Aimed at conducting academic research related to the crystal materials produced under the Materials Service Projects.
(3) Applied Research Projects
Aimed at developing application-oriented research based on the crystal materials produced under the Materials Service Projects.
(4) Excellence Research Group Projects
Aimed at integrating the above three categories, focusing on key crystal-growth technologies as the core, and combining academic and applied research.
3. Application Method
Applicants must log in to the NSTC Academic Research Service Platform and apply through:
“Online Application → Rolling Review Projects → Project Category / General-Oriented Research Projects.”
Applicants must select the corresponding discipline code based on the project nature (as specified in the call announcement).
4. Project Duration
Execution will begin on August 1, 2026.
This project is categorized as a special research project.
Cases not awarded funding will not be eligible for appeal.
5. YunTech Internal Deadline
Applications must be submitted to the university by February 25, 2026 (Sunday).
