YunTech Partners with Taiwan Shih Hsi to Sign an Industry-Academia Cooperation Memorandum, Advancing AI Application in Industry

YunTech and Taiwan CECI Sign Industry-Academia Cooperation MOU to Advance AI Applications in Industry

To promote industry-academia collaboration, accelerate the practical application of AI technologies, and cultivate cross-disciplinary engineering talent, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Taiwan CECI Engineering Consultants, Inc. (CECI). Under the principles of mutual benefit and equality, both parties aim to integrate academic and industrial resources, advance diversified industry-academia collaboration, and deepen AI applications in real-world industry while jointly nurturing cross-disciplinary talent to enhance educational and industrial value.

The collaboration encompasses several key initiatives. YunTech will invite CECI’s experienced industry experts to deliver professional lectures and experience-sharing sessions, allowing students to gain first-hand insights into engineering practices and industry trends. Each year, outstanding students will also be recommended for internships at CECI, providing early workplace exposure and strengthening employability. Both parties will collaborate on relevant industry-academia projects as needed, promoting technology research, development, and application while cultivating cross-disciplinary engineering talent.

YunTech emphasized that partnering with Taiwan’s largest comprehensive engineering consulting firm, CECI, which focuses on professional technical expertise, not only creates more practical learning and career opportunities for students but also enables faculty to enhance industry-academic technical exchanges and increase opportunities for research outcomes to be applied in real-world contexts. CECI highlighted its expectation that the partnership will establish a long-term collaboration with YunTech, jointly nurturing engineering talent with professional expertise and innovative thinking to inject new momentum into industry development.

The MOU takes effect immediately upon signing. Moving forward, both parties will implement concrete projects as needed, continuously strengthen industry-academia linkages, and create mutually beneficial outcomes for the university, the industry, and students.
