General Scholastic Ability Test for the 115th Academic Year

The 115th Academic Year General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) will be held from January 17 (Saturday) to January 19 (Monday), 115 ROC. The examination administration for the Yunlin Test Area has been entrusted by the College Entrance Examination Center (CEEC) to National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech).

The Yunlin Test Area is divided into two sub-areas:

  • Sub-area I: National Douliu Senior High School

    • 39 examination rooms

    • 1,270 registered examinees

  • Sub-area II: National Huwei Senior High School

    • 34 examination rooms

    • 1,219 registered examinees

In total, 73 examination rooms will be in use, with an estimated 2,489 examinees expected to sit for the examination.

Examination Room Preview

In accordance with CEEC regulations, examination rooms in both sub-areas of the Yunlin Test Area will be open simultaneously for preview on Friday, January 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Examinees may visit their assigned test locations during this period. Candidates are strongly advised to confirm their examination room and seat number in advance based on their examination number, in order to avoid confusion or arriving at the wrong venue on the test day.

Examination Schedule

  • January 17: Mathematics A, Natural Sciences

  • January 18: English, Chinese (Comprehensive Test), Chinese Writing

  • January 19: Mathematics B, Social Studies

A preparatory bell will ring five minutes before the start of each session, at which time examinees may enter the examination room. Please note that before the official start bell, candidates must not open the test booklet or answer sheet, nor sign, write, mark, or respond in any form. Answering may begin only after the start bell sounds.

Important Reminders for Examinees

Mr. Chang Hsiang-Chieh, Dean of Academic Affairs at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, reminds all examinees to bring one original, valid form of identification when entering the examination room. Acceptable documents include:

  • National Identification Card

  • National Health Insurance Card with photograph

  • Automobile or motorcycle driver’s license

  • Republic of China Disability Identification Certificate

  • Passport or Alien Resident Certificate

Examinees are required to prepare the appropriate identification before the examination. Those who fail to present a valid original ID upon entry, and do not submit it to the designated location before the end bell of that session, will be deemed in violation of examination regulations and will receive a one-grade-level deduction for that subject.

In addition, electronic devices with transmission, communication, memory, photography, video recording, or calculation functions—including mobile phones and wearable devices (such as smart accessories, watches, bracelets, glasses, earphones, recording pens, or surveillance-type equipment)—must not be brought into the examination room.

Examinees are encouraged to carefully review all examination regulations and make thorough preparations to ensure a smooth and successful testing experience.
