[General Education] Enrollment Now Open for SOS Summer Online General Education Courses

Would you like to enrich your summer break, earn credits in advance, or explore new areas of knowledge?

This summer, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the ewant Open Education Platform, is launching the “SOS! Summer Online School” program. The program offers a variety of high-quality interdisciplinary general education courses from multiple universities, allowing students to learn flexibly and independently from anywhere.

The program includes five courses covering literature, humanities, psychology, workplace competencies, and AI applications:

• Dream of the Red Chamber and the Philosophy of Organizational Management

• Emotional Education: A Fundamental Course for University Students

• Social Psychology

• Workplace Soft Skills

• Build Your Own Python Chatbot with Generative AI

These courses are recognized as general education credits. Beginning with Academic Year 2024 (applicable to curriculum flowcharts for AY2024 and thereafter), students may receive up to 6 credits toward independent learning requirements.

All courses are conducted entirely online, enabling students to arrange their learning schedules flexibly. The program is ideal for students seeking to strengthen their competitiveness, develop interdisciplinary skills, and make productive use of the summer vacation. Upon successful completion, students may also receive academic credit recognition to support their future academic and career development.
