2026 Nantou County Digital Hackathon & 4th Makcon Technology Competition

1. Basis of the Event

This competition is organized in accordance with the 2026 Nantou County Digital Hackathon and 4th Makcon Technology Competition Implementation Plan.


2. Event Purpose

The competition aims to encourage students to engage with local community issues and increase their willingness to participate in public affairs. Themed around sustainability, innovation, and smart solutions, with the overarching goal of creating a “Livable Nantou”, the event invites students to develop creative proposals addressing government-issued challenges.

Through the competition, students will have a platform for dialogue with government agencies, strengthening the integration and application of public resources and digital information, optimizing government services, and contributing to social well-being and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


3. Competition Overview

Eligibility and Team Composition:

  • College Division:
    • Open to students from public and private universities nationwide.
    • Team size: 3–5 members, with at least 1 member enrolled in or residing in Nantou County.
    • Cross-university and interdisciplinary teams allowed.
    • 1–2 faculty advisors per team.
  • Senior High School Division:
    • Open to students from public and private senior high schools nationwide.
    • Team size: 3–5 members, with at least 1 member enrolled in or residing in Nantou County.
    • Cross-school and cross-discipline teams allowed.
    • 1–2 faculty advisors per team.
  • Junior High School Division:
    • Open to students from public and private junior high schools in Nantou County.
    • Team size: 3–5 members; cross-school teams allowed.
