235 China students join College of Engineering at YunTech in September
YunTech developed international education environment positively and cultivated students with global thinking. In recent years, YunTech has developed international learning environment, advanced academic exchange and promoted industrial collaboration. More than 169 foreign universities have academic collaboration agreements with YunTech.
 
Due to frequent cross-strait exchanges, in order to expand both academic and cultural exchanges, YunTech has actively carried out academic education collaboration on the basis of mutual equality and meets the regulation of both sides and cultivates high-tech talents with abilities of application and innovation.
 
YunTech has signed the memorandum of academic collaboration with Fujian University of Technology on the 28^th of November in 2009 and start Straits College of Engineering. There are 235 China students came to Taiwan on the 3rd of September in 2012 for one-year study. All of China students are divided into five classes which are two Mechanical Engineering, one Electrical Engineering and two Construction Engineering depending on their learning fields. In order to maintain the teaching quality and students learning rights, YunTech arranges regular meetings to adjust the courses to achieve China students’ curriculum need.
 
YunTech held orientation for China students to help them get familiar with local life, learning environment and related regulations of Taiwan’s government easily. YunTech also invites a life counselor from Straits College of Engineering and arranges a teacher to be the head-teacher of each class who can guide and assist students to avoid living and cultural differences problem. In this way, local students can have constructive competition with China students to cultivate more cross-strait academic and economic development talents.
