Mission Statement
In accordance with the nation’s technological development and industrial upgrade, the College focuses on applied engineering and integrated systems, and aims to nurture high-qualified professional talents, thus elevating the country’s competitiveness.
Technological and industrial upgrades are crucial in the nation’s development. To achieve these goals, we focus on applied engineering and integrated systems and aim to nurture highly-qualified professional talents, thus elevating the country’s ability to compete in international markets.

Teaching Goal
To emphasize both theories and practice in technology and in the humanities.

College Organization
        The College consists of seven departments, eleven graduate schools, four doctoral programs, and four centers, including the Department and the Graduate School of Mechanical Engineering, the Department and the Graduate School of Electrical Engineering, the Department and the Graduate School of Electronic Engineering (including a doctoral program), the Department and the Graduate School of Safety Health and Environmental Engineering, the Department and the Graduate School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (including a doctoral program), the Department and the Graduate School of Construction Engineering, the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering, the Graduate School of Engineering Science and the Technology-Doctoral Program, the Graduate School of Industry Precision Mechanical Engineering (a doctoral program), the Graduate School of Computer Science and Information Engineering, the Graduate School of Optoelectronics, the Graduate School of Disaster Prevention and Environmental Engineering, the Graduate School of Communications Engineering, and the Graduate Institute of Construction and Property Management. The four centers are the Center for Construction Materials and Technology, the Center for Advanced Processing and Analysis (CAPA), the Research Center of Industrial Pollution Control, and the Research Center for Soil and Water Resources and Natural Disaster Prevention. In addition, the College has established three committees, and it regularly organizes meetings to better facilitate its internal affairs.

Prospects
        The College plans to continue to integrate software and hardware resources, such as the various teaching and research projects of the departments, graduate schools and centers, promote educational internationalization, recruit new faculty members, and teach quality and research competitiveness to strengthen both green technology and smart life, which are the main foci of the College of Engineering.
