National Yunlin University of Science & Technology is located in Douliou City of Yunlin County of Taiwan. This area is the subtropical climate, with an annual mean temperature of around 23℃. The temperature changes during the year with the highest temperature of 30℃-38℃ in July and August. The temperature decreases progressively to below 20℃ from October to December. From December to February the temperature is low and there is little rain. In March and April the temperature gradually rises to above 20℃.

Douliou City is a hillside region so the temperature variation is great and obvious, especially the day and night temperature. Our city is suitable for any economic and agricultural activity, because the city is away from the sea and slightly affected by the northeast monsoon in winter and the high temperature in summer. The mainly rainfall comes from typhoon and tropical rain in June, July, and August. The relative humidity is between 80~83%, and the average annual rainfall is 1500~2000 Millimeter.
