Congratulations! Department of Industrial Design wins a creative prize in 2011 Xue Xue Awards. Congratulations!   Prof. Yuan-Liang You, along with Xu-Hang Wang, Xiang- Jun Wang and Yun-Zhu Huang, designed an automatic water supply system (Rainwater Harvesting Shed, 凝水棚) and won the creative prize of green creativity group in 2011 Xue Xue Awards.   Concept of creativity   Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans in 2005.Typhoon Morakot broke down people in Pacific Ocean in 2009.      Earthquake in Fukushima bought a nightmare to people in land in 2010.   Thousands of hundreds of people in Mainland China and Africa have suffered from drought and starvation since 2006.  We woke up from the nightmares and got shocked that the land of the Mother decided to balance the environment. Besides the economic growth in cities, more people use mouth for breathing and ask for living.   Introduction to the design   Rainwater harvesting shed is carriable and decomposable. It can also be used to supply water in emergency.  It can produce water with solar power system. If it is cloudy, the fog collection net can be used to collect dew.  Rainwater harvesting shed can collect four-liter water for 3 people every day or water crops in six square meters. It can also be a place for resting or drying the clothes. The structure is simple and supply water or plant corps in emergency.
