Coverage requirements

Foreign Students are required to have sufficient medical and accident coverage for the first four months or the semester they stay in Taiwan. Foreign Students that applied for resident visa have to apply for insurance covering the first months of their stay. After six months the students will be transferred to national health insurance. Students that only stay for one semester need to check whether the domestic insurance covers any cost made in Taiwan.
