4. Wealth Magazine Biweekly No. 766 (June 18, 2026)

Founded through glass manufacturing for Edison’s light bulbs, Corning has evolved far beyond elegant glassware used at home.

Today, Corning provides advanced materials used in mobile device displays, including Gorilla Glass, as well as specialized glass for the windows of the Artemis II spacecraft. The company has also attracted major investments from technology leaders such as Meta and NVIDIA to secure future optical fiber supply.

This issue features an exclusive report on Corning’s 20-year research and development center in Hsinchu, Taiwan, along with an interview with Chairman and CEO Wendell P. Weeks. The article explores how Corning recovered from its financial crisis, when its stock price dropped from US$113 to US$1.55 in January 2001, and transformed into a company valued at US$211.79 per share in 2026.

Amid the rapid growth of AI computing and data transmission demands, this issue also highlights several behind-the-scenes technology companies that quietly drive innovation.

5. CommonWealth Magazine No. 851 (June 24, 2026)

“A mid-level manager at a machinery company in central Taiwan submitted his resignation in June to focus entirely on stock investment.”

In an era of widespread enthusiasm for stock trading, this issue explores the hidden risks behind economic prosperity and changing values across generations.

The magazine also examines the emerging crisis of new drugs disguised within electronic cigarettes. With increasing concerns over drug-impaired driving incidents, the issue investigates how so-called “zombie vape cartridges” spread and why they are difficult to control.

According to the 2025 Youth Smoking Behavior Survey conducted by the Health Promotion Administration, approximately 40,000 adolescents in Taiwan are estimated to be using e-cigarettes.

Please remember: Drug use is never cool. Do not believe that drugs improve energy or academic performance, and always stay away from e-cigarette liquids.
