YunTech Hosts “Passion × Care × Love” Joint Campaign, Integrating Blood Donation, Stem Cell Registry, and HIV Screening to Promote Life-Saving Awareness

To promote health awareness, life education, and the spirit of public service, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech) held the “Passion × Care × Love” joint campaign on June 17, 2026, at the first-floor lobby of the Student Activity Center. The event combined three major public welfare initiatives—campus blood donation, hematopoietic stem cell donor registration, and free HIV screening—to encourage faculty and students to take meaningful action in caring for life and safeguarding health.

The event was jointly organized by the Taichung Blood Center and the Health Education Section of YunTech’s Office of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Tzu Chi Bone Marrow Stem Cell Center and the Yunlin County Health Bureau. For many years, YunTech has worked closely with the Taichung Blood Center to promote campus blood donation activities, bringing together the enthusiasm and compassion of students and faculty. These efforts encourage young people to actively engage in public service and transform care into concrete action, contributing stable and positive energy to society.

The campaign included three key components: “Blood Power Up – Campus Blood Donation,” “Stem Cell Connection of Love – Donor Registry,” and “Safe Check – Free HIV Screening.” The blood donation initiative encouraged participants to donate blood to help meet medical supply needs. The stem cell donor registry program collected simple blood samples to increase the chances of matching patients with blood-related diseases, offering hope for life-saving transplants. The free HIV screening service provided professional health consultations and rapid testing, enhancing awareness of HIV prevention and personal health management among participants.

To express appreciation for participation, the blood donation campaign offered specially prepared surprise gift packs, allowing donors to feel both the warmth and joy of giving while contributing to a meaningful cause.

YunTech has long been committed to health promotion and life education. Through blood donation drives, health screenings, and various public welfare activities, the University aims to cultivate students’ sense of social responsibility, respect for life, and dedication to service. Through this joint campaign, YunTech seeks to further raise awareness and participation in blood donation, stem cell registration, and HIV prevention, fostering a caring, healthy, friendly, and compassionate campus environment where every act of kindness becomes a vital force in protecting life.
