2026 Academic Year Technological and Vocational Education Joint Entrance Examination (Four-Year and Two-Year Programs), Yunlin Examination Area — Day 1
The first day of the 2026 Academic Year Technological and Vocational Education Joint Entrance Examination in the Yunlin Examination Area was conducted today. The first session began at 10:20 AM. In the morning, examinations were held in 16 rooms at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology section, while the remaining rooms commenced testing in the afternoon. The morning session covered the Professional Subject (II), followed by Chinese and English in the second and third sessions in the afternoon. All 51 examination rooms completed testing at 5:40 PM.
The examination proceeded smoothly overall. Among the 1,638 registered candidates, 51 were absent, resulting in an absence rate of approximately 3.11%. There was one case of a candidate failing to bring their admission ticket and two cases involving other examination rule violations.
All examination rooms in the Yunlin Examination Area were equipped with air conditioning, with temperatures generally maintained between 26°C and 28°C. The Testing Center emphasized that air conditioning is provided as a service measure. In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as power outages or equipment malfunctions that cannot be promptly resolved, examination staff will open doors and windows or use electric fans to maintain ventilation, and the examination will proceed as scheduled. Under such conditions, candidates may not request a change of examination room, additional points, or extended testing time. Air conditioning remains in operation throughout the entire examination period, including breaks between sessions and the lunch interval. Candidates may rest in the examination rooms until the distribution of test papers for the next session.
The first session on the second day (April 26) will begin at 8:30 AM. Candidates are reminded to depart early to avoid traffic congestion, remain attentive to weather conditions and travel safety, and are wished every success in the examination.
