The Graduate Institute of Design at the College of Design, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech), will host the 13th International Design Research Forum and Integrated Design Workshop (IDSFC 2026) from July 3 to 5, 2026. The forum invites submissions from design researchers, creators, and practitioners worldwide. This year’s theme, “Design Beyond Borders,” focuses on how design can respond to rapidly changing global environments, fostering new connections and actionable strategies across technology, culture, and society.
Since its inception in 2014, IDSFC has become one of Asia’s most prominent international platforms for design research exchange. For 2026, the event will combine a traditional academic forum with a practice-oriented international integrated design workshop, creating a dual-track framework of “Theoretical Exploration × Local Implementation.” The forum provides an international stage for scholars and researchers to present cutting-edge findings, while the workshop engages cross-cultural teams in Yunlin to transform interdisciplinary design concepts into tangible community initiatives, demonstrating design’s role as a catalyst for social connectivity.
