Jointly Promoting Digital Preservation and Technological Innovation in Cultural Heritage**

The Department of Cultural Heritage Conservation at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech) and Chuan-Hwa Survey Co., Ltd. held an MOU signing ceremony for industry–academia collaboration on November 27.
Both parties will integrate professional expertise and resources to cooperate in areas including digital preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, talent cultivation, and technology development, fostering the integration of culture and technology, strengthening the connection between academic research and industrial practice, and jointly advancing the preservation and innovative application of cultural heritage.

This signing symbolizes the formal establishment of a long-term strategic partnership between YunTech’s Department of Cultural Heritage Conservation and Chuan-Hwa Survey.
Based on the core concepts of co-learning, co-creation, and co-prosperity, both sides will combine professional faculty, research capacity, and advanced equipment to promote the digitalization of cultural heritage and develop related application technologies, facilitating the transformation of academic achievements.
Future cooperation will include researcher exchanges, educational outreach activities, sharing of academic and industrial information, and the development of joint industry–academia projects, thereby building a solid collaborative bridge between academia and industry.

In terms of talent cultivation, Chuan-Hwa Survey will provide opportunities for internships, research projects, and thesis studies, allowing students to gain experience in real industrial environments, strengthen their professional skills, and realize the educational goal of integrating theory with practice.

According to YunTech’s Department of Cultural Heritage Conservation, this collaboration marks a new milestone in the digital preservation and technological innovation of cultural heritage. It also represents cross-disciplinary integration between cultural heritage and surveying technologies.
Both parties will continue deepening cooperation to promote digital sustainability and smart applications of cultural heritage, with the expectation of generating profound social impact in preservation, research, and educational outreach.
