YunTech Hosts the 2025 MOE Higher Education Sprout Project Achievement Exhibition

National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (YunTech) held the 2025 Ministry of Education Higher Education Sprout Project Achievement Exhibition on November 27 (Thursday).
YunTech continues advancing toward excellence and innovation, focusing on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and emphasizing comprehensive “precision education,” ensuring that every student receives education fitted to their talents.

The university precisely aligns with the four key dimensions of the Higher Education Sprout Project, forming the core development strategies of the second-phase plan. These strategies address the talent structure needed for the “Five Domains” and “Five Competencies.”

  • Five Domains: Generational, Literacy, Intelligence, Sustainability, and Internationalization

  • Five Competencies: Self-learning, Information Literacy, Cross-disciplinary Skills, Professional Competence, and Mobility
These competencies respond to the learning characteristics of students under the 12-year national curriculum and anticipate the needs of emerging technological industries, ensuring alignment with the four dimensions of the Higher Education Sprout Project.

This achievement exhibition was held at the Yuntai Theater Gallery at YunTech.
Through autonomous exploration and participation in competitions, YunTech students won the 2025 Red Dot Design Award in Germany, demonstrating international competitiveness with exceptional creativity and professional execution. They received several prestigious design honors, such as:

  • ECOPE – Microscopic Exploration Project

  • Live Wave – On-Site Optimization Drone System

These accomplishments highlight YunTech’s global presence and international performance.

Students strengthened cross-disciplinary integration abilities by engaging in learning activities that combined physics experiments, spintronics, machine learning, and deep learning applications.
They also practiced connecting theory with practical application to enhance instructional capacity and accelerate developments in digital healthcare applications, such as early prediction of brain function disorders.

Furthermore, students traveled to Vietnam for the 2025 Taiwan–Vietnam International Design Camp, using AI as the core theme in fashion design. They incorporated cultural pattern redesign, generative AI, sustainable material development, and international design competitions, thereby deepening cross-cultural exchange and sustainable design capabilities.

President Chang Chuan-Yu stated that through a full year of implementation and development, YunTech has significantly enhanced its innovative teaching capacity.
The achievements of the Higher Education Sprout Project demonstrate the university’s success in cultivating skilled talents who possess inquiry, participation, practice, reflection, and innovation literacy.
Going forward, YunTech will continue to advance technological R&D and innovative services, aiming to become a responsible smart university that showcases the strengths of technical and vocational education while strengthening cooperation with industry.
